FINAL DRIVE SYSTEM SERVICE Front Clutch Reassembly, 19871988 Models 1Carefully raise rear wheels off the floor2Rotate rear wheels and front axles until the axle keyway cut is straight up in 12:00 position on both front axles (A)Check Hilliard engagement ramp height (8)Ramps worn to half their original height should have the strut casting assembly replaced4
Install the square key and the Hilliard clutch assemblyCAUTION: The clutch cam must float freely on the spindle or bearing preload will be affectedNOTE: On some models cams are not interchangeableThese cams will be identified with for the left side and for the right side (C)Right and left is always determined from seated position on the machine
