TRANSMISSION SERVICE Type II Disassembly 3On models with lock collar, loosen the locking collar set screw (A)Rotate the collar out and away from the bearing inner raceNOTE: Late models use bushing carrier instead of flangette retained bearing
Remove the bolts securing the bearing flange to the frame member (B)Clean end of output shaft (C) thoroughlyRemove output shaft support bearingNOTE: It may be necessary to heat the inner race of the bearing to remove it from the shaft
