BRAKE SERVICE Brake Bleeding Procedure (Continued) 10If after bleeding the systema spongy brake lever is still evidentremove one caliper from its mountingDO NOT disconnect the brake linePosition and clamp C-clamp vise grip on the other caliper assembly11Actuate the brake lever several timesThis will force the caliper piston out fullyWith C-clamp vise grip positioned on the center of the stationary pad and back side of the caliper assemblycompress the piston back into the caliperRepeat this procedure couple of times12Replace the caliper assembly to mount and torque to 18 ftIbs(2.4 kgm)Position and clamp C-clamp vise grip to hold this caliper assembly firmly in place13Repeat steps 10 and 1114Replace caliper assembly to mount and torque to 18 ftIbs(2.4kgm)Check and maintain brake fluid levelReplace diaphragm and cover and tighten screwsNOTE: Do not purchase brake fluid in large containersBrake fluid should be used immediately once the container is opened
