BRAKE SERVICE Caliper Reinstallation Caliper Installation (Xplorer)

Reinstall caliper assembly onto brake diskReinstall lower rear caliper mount bolt with caliper shield (A)Reinstall disc cover bolt and disc coverTorque caliper mount bolts to 1012 ftIbs(1.41.7 kgm)Reinstall brake arm (8)Reinstall adjuster bolt (C) and washerAdjust foot pedal at 12" to 34" travel of the pedal and tighten the jam nutReassemble foot well to unit and fasten to foot well support brackets and fendersRefill master cylinder with DOT brake fluid (PN 2870990) and reinstall cover with new cover gasketNOTE: Type III cylinders should be filled to 14" to 516".6 to .8 cm) from the top of the cylinderRefer to brake bleeding instructions in this chapter and bleed system
