BRAKE SERVICE Type Mechanical Front Brake Service 123Remove dust cap, cotter pin and castle nutPull hub and brake assembly off spindleInspect brake shoes, bearings and sealsReplace worn or damaged parts
CAUTION: Whenever inspection reveals worn, damaged or defective parts, replacement is necessary in order to avoid serious damage to the machine or injury to the operator
Reassemble brake assembly and brake drum and install onto spindleTorque spindle castle nut to 40 ftIbs(5.5 kgm) and install new cotter pinNOTE: Always install new cotter pin if the nut is removed
