STEERING 14-5 Steering
Steering Stem Removal

Remove: (see Fuel System chapter) Fuel Tank
Front Wheels (see WheelsTires chapter) Cotter Pins [A] Tie-Rod End Nuts [B] and Tie-Rod End Steering Stem Bearing Housing Bolts [C] (right and left)

CAUTION
Do not loosen the locknuts [D] at the ends of the tie-rod adjusting sleeve, or the toe-in of the front wheels will be changed
Remove: Holder Mounting Nuts [A] Handlebar
Handlebar Assembly
