CONVERTER SYSTEM 5-7 Torque Converter

Excessive imbalance or operating rpm could cause torque converter pulley failure resulting in severe injury or deathThe pulleys of the belt drive torque converter are precision balanced components designed to operate within certain rpm limitsDisassemblyassembly and servicing procedures of the pulley assemblies must be followed closelyModifications to the engine or pulleys that increase rpm may cause failure
CAUTION
Do not turn the ignition switch OFF position from ON position, while the torque converter cover is removedIf it is done, the learning control of Engine Brake Control system works and the engine brake actuator works an error operation If the

drive belt failure detection system is activated by abnormal belt, the drive belt failure detection switch is damagedMake sure to replace the torque converter cover
