Valve Installation
is to be used, If newisvalve little clearance,check the valve-to-guide clearanceIf there too ream the valve guideValve Seat Inspection) Check the valve seat (seehas been confirmed, replace the valve stem After proper valve seating oil seal [A]disulfide Apply thin coat of molybdenumguidegrease to the valve stem [B], and install the valve into the seat [C] Put the springand outer springs [D] in placePut the inner Place the springs so that the closed coil end [E] of each spring faces
If there is too much clearance, install new valve guide

downSet the valve spring retainer [F] on the springsUse the valve spring compressor to press down the retainerInstall the split keepers [G], and slowly remove the spring compressorBe sure the keepers stay in place, holding the retainer downRepeat the procedure for the other valveInstall the removed parts to the cylinder headInstall the cylinder head (see Cylinder Head Installation)Adjust the valve clearance (see Valve Clearance Inspection)
