FINAL DRIVE 11-55 Front Final Gear Case
LSD Clutch Torque Inspection
If the vehicle has the following symptoms, check the LSD (Limited Slip Differential) clutch torque-The steering wheel is hard to turn-The front final gear case overheats-Abnormal noises come from the front final gear case when rounding curveEnsure 2WD modeSupport the vehicle so that the front wheels are off the groundRemove: Left Front Wheel (see Wheel Removal in the WheelsTires chapter) Front Axle Nut Cotter Pin Secure the right front wheel from rotating.and shift to the Pull the differential shift lever (5 notches), differential lock positionclutch Measure theevenlytorque using torque wrench [A]Turn the wrench
The clutch torque is the mean torque reading during about quarter turn of the wrenchLSD Clutch Torque Standard: 300 Nm (31 kgfm, 211 ftlb) or more
