12-16 BRAKES Calipers
Front Caliper Installation
with new onesTighten:
TorqueFront Caliper Mounting Bolts: 26.5 Nm (2.7 kgfm, 20 ftlb) Front Brake Hose Banjo Bolt: 26.5 Nm (2.7 kgfm, 20 ftlb)
caliper and brake lower end Install thethe washers that arehoseeach side of hose fitting Replace on
the fluid in the brake reservoir Checkthe brakelevel (see Brake Line Air Bleeding)Bleed line Check the brake for good braking power, no brake drag, and no fluid leakage
WARNING
Do not attempt to drive the vehicle until firm brake lever can be obtained by pumping the brake lever until the pads are against each discThe brakes will not function on the first application of the lever if this is not done
