9-16 CRANKSHAFTTRANSMISSION Crankcase
hammer, press the rear portion the Using plastic tap the area around the crankshaft of the crankcase, and of left crankcaseWhile maintaining the mating surfaces of the right and left crankcase halves constantly parallel, mate the crankcase halves evenly
Constantly check the alignment of the two crankcase halves, and the position of the transmission shafts, and shift drumThe front and rear of the crankcase must be pushed together evenly
Tighten the crankcase bolts [A], starting with the periphery of the crankshaft, then outwardTorqueCrankcase Bolts: 9.8 Nm (1.0 kgfm, 87 inlb)

After tightening the crankcase bolts, wipe up the liquid gasket seeping out around the mating surface, especially around the area
Make sure that the crankshaft, driveshaft, and the output shaft, rotate smoothy (in the neutral position)If the crankshaft will not turn, probably the crankshaft is not centered; tap the appropriate end of the crankshaft with mallet [A] to reposition it
