5-18 ENGINE TOP END Camshaft
Apply grease to the rubber portions of the oil pipes Assemble: Caps [A] Camshaft
Oil Pipes [B] While keeping parallel, install them
and after Uniformly tighten all bolts the boltsthe camshaft has settled, uniformly tighten all Following the sequence numbers on the camshaft capsTighten the cap bolts [1 8] after applying molybdenum disulfide oil to the thread of them
Install the camshaft chain tensioner (see Camshaft Chain Tensioner Installation), then, check the camshaft chain
TorqueCamshaft Cap Bolts: 12 Nm (1.2 kgfm, 106 inlb)
CAUTION
After this procedure, if any resistance is felt while turning over the crankshaft, stop immediately, and check the camshaft chain timingValves will be bent if the timing is not properly set(see Cylinder Head Cover Install the cylinder head cover cap, and the alternator roInstallation), timing inspection tor nut capSpecial ToolFiller Cap Driver: 57001-1454
