Drive Chain Lubrication
The chain should be lubricated with lubricant which will both prevent the exterior from rusting and reduce friction in the interior of the chainIf the chain is especially dirty, it should be washed in diesel oil or kerosene, and afterward soaked in heavy oilShake the chain while it is in the oil so that oil will penetrate to the inside of each rollerAn effective, good quality lubricant specially formulated for chains is best for regular chain lubrication
