16STARTING SYSTEM STARTER MOTOR INSTALLATION Check the O-ring for wear or damage and replace it if necessaryApply grease to the O-ring and install the starter motor with the engine ground wireTighten the two mounting boltsTorque: 10 Nm (1 kgfm, lbfft) Connect the starter motor cable couplerThe starter motor cable coupler must be installed properlyEngine Ground Wire O-ring

INSPECTION Remove the seat(See page 2-3) Turn the ignition switch ON and the starter relay is normal if you hear click when the starter button is depressedIf there is no click sound: Inspect the starter relay voltageInspect the starter relay ground circuitCheck for continuity between the starter relay yellowred and greenyellow wire terminals
