REMOVAL Before removing the starter motor, turn the ignition switch OFF and remove the battery groundThen, turn on the ignition switch and push the starter button to see if the starter motor operates properlyDisconnect the starter motor cable couplerRemove the two mounting bolts at the starter motor attaching left crankcase, then remove the starter motorEngine Ground Wire Starter Motor
