Stator Coil Resistance
Disconnect the alternator wire connectorthe stator coil resistanceMeasure an ohmmeter between the alternator wiresConnect
Stator Coil Resistance Standard: 0.2 0.4
If the meter does not read as specified, replace the alternator statorIf the coil has normal resistance, but the voltage inspect showed the alternator to be defective; then the rotor magnets have probably weakened, and the rotor must be replaced
RegulatorRectifier Inspection
Remove the regulatorrectifier [A]Rectifier Circuit Test Check the resistance in both directions between the terminals following the tableTester Connection W-BK1, W-BK2, W-BK3 BKY-BK1, BKY-BK2, BKY-BK3 The resistance should be low in one direction and more than ten times as much in the other directionIf any two terminals are low or high in both directions, the rectifier is defective and must be replaced
