Visually check the bevel gears [A] for scoring, chipping, or other damageReplace the bevel gears as set if either gear is damaged
Ball Bearing Inspection
are made to Since the ball bearingsbe judged by extremely close tolerances, the wear must feel rather than measurementClean each bearing in high flash-point solvent, dry it (do not spin the bearing while it is dry), and oil it with engine oilSpin the bearing by hand [A] to check its conditionIf the bearing [B] is noisy, does not spin smoothly, or has any rough spots, replace it
