9-10 TRANSMISSION Transmission Oil
CAUTION
Vehicle operation with insufficient, deteriorated or contaminated transmission oil will cause accelerated wear and may result in transmission failure
Transmission Oil Level Inspection

If the vehicle has just been used wait several minutes
for all the oil to settle downground, tilt up the cargo Park the vehicle on level[A], wipeand dipstick [B] dry, bedUnscrew the oil gauge its insert it into the filler opening but DO NOT SCREW ITand INPull out the dipstick and check the oil levelThe oil level should be between the upper (H) and lower (L) level lines [C]If the oil level is too high, remove the excess oil, using syringe or some other suitable device, through the oil filler openingIf the oil level is too low, add the necessary amount of oil through the oil filler openingUse the same type and make of oil that is already in the transmission
