Crankshaft Sensor Installation
.Install: Stator Coil Leads [A] Plate [8] Crankshaft Sensor [C] Tighten:
TorqueCrankshaft Sensor Mounting Bolts: 5.9 Nm (0.60 kgfm, 52 inlb)
Fit the lead grommets into the notch on the alternator coverGrommet [A] for Alternator Leads Grommet [8] for Crankshaft Sensor Leads
Crankshaft Sensor Inspection
Remove the seat (see Seat Removal in Frame chapter) Disconnect the crankshaft sensor lead connector [A] Measure the crankshaft sensor resistanceOConnect hand tester between the 8KIW lead and the 8L leadOSet the tester to the 10 rangeCrankshaft Sensor Resistance 110 140 a
Ifthe tester does not read as specifiedreplace the crankshaft sensor
