17-24 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Charging System
Alternator Cover Installation
8e sure all of the old gasket has been removed from the alternator cover and the left crankcase sealing surfaces Check that the dowel pins [A] are in place, and fit new gasket on the crankcase Check that the bearing [8] is in place
, Fit the grommets [A] into the notch in the cover Grease the alternator cover oil seal Tighten:
TorqueAlternator Cover Bolts: 8.8 Nm (0.90 kgfm, 78 inlb)
Check that the O-ring [A] in the collar [8] is in good condition Apply grease to the O-ring Install the collar on the alternator cover
