17-18 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Battery
Battery Removal
Turn off the ignition switch Remove: Seat (see Frame chapter) Battery Holder Bolts [A] and Washers Battery Holder [B] Disconnect the battery negative (-) cable [C] first, and then the positive (+) cable [0] Take out the battery [E]
Battery Installation
Turn off the ignition switch Install: Rubber Dampers [A] Clamp Nut [B] Collars [C] Battery Holder [D) Connect the positive cable first and then the negative Put light coat of grease on the terminals to prevent corrosion
Battery Activation
Electrolyte Filling Make sure that the model name [AJ of the electrolyte container matches the model name [B) of the batteryThese names must be the sameBattery Model Name for KVF650: KMX 14-B5

CAUTION
Be sure to use the electrolyte container with the same model name as the battery since the electrolyte volume and specific gravity vary with the battery typeThis is to prevent overfilling of the electrolyte, shorting the battery life, and deterioration of the battery performanceGP080204S C
