Front Shock Absorber Removal
Remove: Front Fender (see Front Fender Removal in Frame chapter) Cotter Pins [A] Front Shock Absorber Clamp Bolts and Nuts [B] Suspension Arm Pivot Bolts Hold the knuckle and suspension arm so that the knuckle jOint does not incline more widelyRemove: Circlip [A]
Special ToolOutside Circlip Pliers: 57001-144

While supporting the vehicle with jack, loosen the nut

Remove the ball joint [C] of the shock absorber from the frame bracket [0] Remove: Front Shock Absorber [A]

Front Shock Absorber Installation
Hold the knuckle and suspension arm so that the knuckle joint does not incline more widely Insert the shock absorber into the knuckle, and align its recess [A] and the lower bolt hole [B] in the knuckle Tighten:
