Coolant Deterioration Inspection
Visually inspect the coolant in the reserve tank [A]If whitish cotton-like wafts are observedaluminum parts in the cooling system are corroded If the coolant is brown, iron or steel parts are rusting In either case, flush the cooling system If the coolant gives off an abnormal smellcheck for cooling system leakIt may be caused by exhaust gas leaking into the cooling system
Coolant Level Inspection NOTE
OCheck the level when the engine is cold (room or ambient temperature)
Check the coolant level in the reserve tank with the vehicle held perpendicularlyReserve Tank [A] (full) Mark [8] (low) Mark [C]If the coolant level is lower than the mark, Remove the reserve tank cap [A], then add coolant to the mark [8]
