Rear Final Gear Case Oil Change
Warm up the oil by running the vehicle so that the oil will pick up any sediment and drain easilyThen stop the vehicle Park the vehicle so that it is level, both side-to-side and front-to-rear Place an oil pan beneath the rear final gear case and remove the drain plug [A)
A WARNING
When draining or filling the final gear case, be careful that no oil gets on the tire or rim because oil will deteriorate the tireClean off any oil that inadvertently gets on them with high-flash point solvent
After the oil has completely drained out, install the drain plug with new aluminum gasketTorqueOil Drain Plug: 20 Nm (2.0 kgfm, 14 ftlb)
Fill the final gear case up to the bottom of filler opening with the oil specified belowFinal Gear Case Oil Type: MOBIL Fluid 424, CITGO TRANSGARD TRACTOR HYDRAULIC FLUID or EXXON HYDRAUL 560 Capacity: 0.9 (0.95 US qt)
