2-22 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE Periodic Maintenance Procedures
Remove the reserve tank cap Fill the reserve tank up to the mark [A] with coolant and install the cap Start the engine, warm it up thoroughly until the radiator fan turns on and then stop the engine Check the coolant level in the reserve tank after the engine cools downIf the coolant level is lower than the low level line, add coolant to the full level line
CAUTION
Do not add more coolant above the full level line
Coolant Filter Cleaning
Drain the coolant (see Coolant change) Remove: Air Cleaner Cover (see Air Cleaner Cover Removal in Frame chapter) Rubber Air Duct Remove the filter [A] from the cooling hoses [B) of carburetor system Blow [C] off dirt and sediment on the filter with compressed air
