12-12 BRAKES Calipers
Caliper Disassembly

Remove:(see Caliper Removal) Caliper
Pads (see Brake Pad Removal) Anti-rattle Spring Using compressed air, remove the pistonCover the caliper opening with clean, heavy cloth [A]Remove the piston by lightly applying compressed air [B] to where the brake line fits into the caliper
WARNING
To avoid serious injury, never place your fingers or palm inside the caliper openingIf you apply compressed air into the caliper, the piston may crush your hand or fingers
If compressed air is not available, do as follows with the brake hose connected to the caliperPrepare container for brake fluidRemove the pads and spring (see Brake Pad Removal)Pump the brake lever to remove the caliper piston
