Crankcase Assembly CAUTION
The right and left crankcase halves are machined at the factory in the assembled state, so the crankcase halves must be replaced as set
Be certain that all parts are cleaned thoroughly before assemblyBlow through all oil passages with compressed air to clear any blockage in the crankcase halves and crankshaft
WARNING
Clean the engine parts in well-ventilated area, and take care that there are no sparks or flame anywhere near the working area; this includes any appliance with pilot lightDo not use gasoline or low flash-point solvents to clean partsA fire or explosion could resultsmall engine Apply abearingsamount of forkoil to the transmission gears, and shift Be sure the mating surfaces of the crankcase halves are clean and dry
