Spark Arrester Cleaning
WARNING
To avoid burns, wear gloves while cleaning the spark arresterSince the engine must be run during this procedure, the muffler will become hotdrain plug [A] the muffler Remove thearea away fromoncombustible materials, start In an open the engine with the transmission in neutrallower speed while tapping Raise andrubberengine until carbon particleson the muffler with mallet are purged from the muffler
WARNING
Do not run the engine in closed areaExhaust gases contain carbon monoxide; colorless, odorless, poisonous gasBreathing exhaust gas leads to carbon monoxide poisoning, asphyxiation, and death
Stop the engine.plug Install the drain
