OThe backlash and tooth contact pattern of the bevel gears must be correct to prevent the gears from making noise and being damaged After replacing any of the backlash-related parts, be sure to check and adjust the backlash and tooth contact of the bevel gearsFirst, adjust backlash, and then tooth contact by replacing shimsOThe amount of backlash is influe nced by the ring gear position more than by the pinion gear positionOTooth contact locations is influenced by the pinion gear position more than by the ring gear position
