Apply non-perma nent locking agent to the pinion gear bearing holder [A], and tighten itSpecial ToolSocket Wrench, Hex 50: 57001-1478 TorquePinion Gear Bearing Holder: 137 N'm (14 kgf'm, 101 ftlb)
Inspect: Ball Bearing [A) (see Bearing and Oil Sea section) Oil Seals [B) (see Bearing and Oil Seal section) If they are damagedreplace the rear final gear case right cover [C) Apply grease to the oil seal lips and O-ring [D]
Install: Rear Final Gear Case Right Cover [AJ Ap ply non-permanent locki ng agent to the cover bolts, an tighten themTorqueRear Final Gear Case Right Cover Bolts (M12) [B]: 93 N'm (9.5 kgf'm, 69 ft'lb) Rear Final Gear Case Right Cover Bolts (MB) [C]: 24 N'm (2.4 kgf-m17 ft-lb) Install: Rear Axl (see Rear Axle Installation) Rear Final Gea Case Left Cover Trai ler Hitch Bracket (see Frame chapter)
