Front Final Bevel Gear Adjustment
Th bac kla sh (distance one gear will move back and forth without moving th mate gear) and tooth contact pattern of the bevel gears must be correct to prevent the gears from making noise and bei ng damaged Above two adjustments are of critical importance and must be carried out fo llowing the correct sequence and method When anyone of the backlash-related parts are replaced, check and adj ust th bevel gear backlash, and tooth contact by replacing shimsOThe amount of backlash is influenced by the ring gear position more tha by th pinion gear positionOTooth contact location is influenced by the pinion gear position more than by the ring gear positionFront Final Bevel Gear Adjustment Procedure
