Ball and Needle Bearing Replacement
CAUTION
Do not rem ove the ba ll or needle bearin gs unless it is necessaryRemoval may damage them Using press or pull er, remove the ball bearing andor three needle bearings
Oln the absence of the above mentioned tools, satisfactory results may be obtained by heating the case to approximately 93C (200 F) max and tapping the bearing in or out
CAUTION
Do not heat the case with orchThis will warp the caseSoak the cas in oi and heat the oi Using press and the beari ng driver set [AJ, install the new ball bearing until it stops at the bottom of its housingOThree new needle bearings must be pressed into the crankcase so that the end is flush with the end of the holeSpecial ToolBearing Driver Set: 57001-1129
