FUEL SYSTEM 3-31 Fuel Pump
Pump Filter Cleaning
WARNING
Clean th pump filter in well-ventilated area, and take care that here are no sparks or flame anywhere near the workin areaBecause of the danger of highly flamma ble liquids, do not use gasoline or low-flash poi nt solve nt to clean the pump filter Remove the fuel pump [A] along with the pump filter [8] Prepa re co ntainer [C] filled with high-fl ash point solvent Dip and shake the fuel filter onl in the solvent to remove dirt and fuel deposits from the filter Dry the pu mp and filter by lig htly applying compressed air Install the fu el pum (see Fuel Pump Installation)
