Spark Arrester Cleaning
A WARNING
To avo id burn s, wear gloves while cleaning the spark arresterSince the engine must be run during this procedure, the muffler will become hot Rem ove the drai pl ug [A] on the muffler In an open area away from co mbustible material s, start the engine with the transm ission in neutral Ra ise and lower engine speed while tapping on the muffler with rubber mallet until carbon particles are purged from the muffler
