Ignition Timing Test
Remove the ignition timing inspection plug.in the manner Attach the timing light [A] and tachometer prescribed by the manufacturer Start the engine and aim the timing light at the timing mark on the alternator rotor Run the engine at the speeds specified and note the alignment of the timing marksIgnition Timing Engine speed rmin (rpm) 800 and below 600 and above Slot [B] aligned with: Advanced mark [C] on alternator rotor Advanced mark [D] on alternator rotor Special ToolTiming Light57001-1241
