Steering Stem Installation
Lubricate the stem bearing [A] (see Steering Lubrication) Install: Stem Bearing Steering
Collar [B] Stem Bottom End Nut [C] Tighten:
TorqueStem Bottom End Nut: 29 Nm (3.0 kgfm, 22 ftlb)
Install: Pin [D] Cotter
the steering stem clamps LubricateSteering Lubrication)[A] and grease seal [B] (see Install the grease sealsclamps so that the ribs on both Install the steering stemgrooves [C] on the steering stem grease seals fit into the clamps
Align the marks [A] on the steering stem clamps at right side Tighten: Inspect the following and adjust them, if necessaryToe-in (see WheelsTires chapter)
