Camshaft Chain Removal
Remove: Sprocket (see Camshaft Sprocket Removal) Camshaft
Alternator Rotor (see Electrical System chapter) Screws [A] and Camshaft Chain Guard [B] Camshaft Chain [C]
Camshaft Chain Installation CAUTION
Always pull the camshaft chain taut while turning the crankshaft when the camshaft chain is looseThis avoids kinking the chain on the lower (crankshaft) sprocketA kinked chain could damage both the chain and the sprocket
Tighten:
Install the camshaft sprocket (see Camshaft Sprocket Installation)Camshaft Chain Guide Removal
TorqueCamshaft Chain Guard Screws: 4.4 Nm (0.45 kgfm, 39 inlb)
