Loosen the mounting nuts [A] and take off the cable adjuster [B] from its bracket Free the cable from the vehicle
Reverse Knob and Cable Installation
When the reverse lever was removed, mount the lever on the shift drum stop lever shaft so that the slot of the lever points to the topIf the reverse lever is difficult to install in the above position, reinstall the lever aligning the slot with just forward tooth of the shaft serration Route the reverse cable according to the General Information chapter Adjust the reverse cable
Reverse Cable Lubrication
Whenever the reverse knob and cable are removed, lubricate the reverse cable as follows Apply small amount of multi-purpose grease to the cable lower end Lubricate the cable with penetrating rust inhibitor through the pressure cable luber
