ENGINE BOTTOM ENDTRANSMISSION 7-11 Transmission Transmission External Shift Mechanism:
External Shift Mechanism Removal
Remove: Clutches Clutch Release Cam and Ball Assembly Shift Pedal .Move the shift mechanism arm out of its position on the end of the shift drum, and pullout the shift mechanism shaft [A] with the return spring [B] and clutch release cam [C]
Remove the shift drum positioning lever bolt and take off the lever [A] with its spring [B] Remove the return spring pin [C] and clutch release cam pin [D] if necessary
External Shift Mechanism Installation
.Check the shift drum positioning lever swings smoothly after tightening the pivot bolt Be sure the shift mechanism arm collar [A] and clutch release cam [B] are in place Position the shift shaft return spring ends on either side of the return spring pin
