Piston Ring Groove Width
Measure the piston ring groove width
o Use vernier caliper at several points around the pistonPiston Ring Groove Width Standard: Top Service Limit: Standard: Second Service Limit: Standard: Oil Service Limit: 1.021.04 mm 1.12 mm 1.01 1.03 mm 1.11 mm 2.512.53 mm 2.61 mm
If the width of any of the three grooves is wider than the service limit at any point replace the piston
Piston Ring Thickness
o Use micrometer to measure at several points around the ringPiston Ring Thickness (TopSecond) Standard: 0.970.99 mm Service Limit: 0.90 mm
