Cooling Fan Motor Voltage Measurement
Remove the front fender cover Connect the hand tester between the leads at the voltage regulator connector.Set the tester to the 25 AC range Start the engine, and turn the headlight on Measure the fan motor voltage at 000 rmin (rpm)The voltage should be within the specified value in the tableIf the reading is much lower than specified, check the fan motor power coil on the magneto statorIf the reading is much higher than specified, the voltage regulator is defective or the voltage regulator leads are loose or open
