ELECTRICAL SYSTEM 15-15 Cooling Fan Motor Voltage Measurement (No Load) The condition of the fan motor power coil of the magneto is determined by measuring the voltage of the AC output-Remove the rear fender and the front fender (see Frame chapter)-Pull off the rectifier connector-Connect the hand tester to the rectifier connector from the magneto stator-Set the tester to the 250 AC range

If the tester does not read as specified, replace the magneto statorIf the coil has normal resistance, but the fan does not run while the engine is running and the coolant temperature is high enough, the flywheel magnets have probably weakenedReplace the flywheel
