Steering Knuckle Removal
eRemove the following partsFront Wheel Front Hub eRemove the cotter pin and tie-rod end nut from the steering knuckle

not loosen the locknuts at the ends of the tie-rod adjusting sleeve, or the toe-in of the front wheels will be changed
ACotter Pin and Nut

Steering Stem Installation Notes
OSteering stem installation is the reverse of removalNote the followingeLubricate the steering stem clamps, grease seals and stem bearing (see Steering Lubrication)elnstall the grease seal facing the end forward to prevent the entry of dirtelnstall the steering stem clamps so that the ribs on both grease seals fit into the grooves on the steering stem clampsoThe clamps and the grease seals may be installed either way
