SUSPENSION 12-9 eReplace the knuckle joint circlip that was removed with new oneeTighten the knuckle joint to the specified torque (see Exploded View) against the suspension armeClean, check and grease the knuckle joints (see Steering Knuckle Installation Notes in the Steering chapter)
Suspension Arm Inspection
eRemove the following parts to free the suspension armFront Wheel Front Shock Absorber Caliper and Brake Hose Clamp Knuckle Joint Nut Knuckle Joint Clamp Nut eMove the suspension arm up and down to check for abnormal friction, and push and pull it to check for bearing playASuspension Arm BSpherical Bearing

Suspension Arm Needle Bearing Inspection
eThe rollers in the needle bearings wear so little that the wear is difficult to measureInstead, inspect the needle bearings for abrasion, color change, or other damageIf there is any doubt as to the condition of either needle bearing, replace the bearing and sleeve as set
