SUSPENSION 12"5 Front Shock Absorber Installation Notes eShock absorber installation is the reverse of removalNote the followingeTighten the upper and lower shock absorber mounting bolts to the specified torque (see Exploded View)eUsing the hook wrenches (owner's tool or special tool), loosen the locknut and turn the adjusting nut as required
Front Shock Absorber Inspection Since the front shock absorbers are sealed units which cannot be disassembled, only external checks are necessaryIf one unit is damaged, replace both shock absorbers as setIf only one unit is replaced and the two are not balanced, vehicle instability at high speed may resulteCheck the rubber bushings in the upper pivotReplace any bushings that are worn, cracked, hardened, or otherwise damagedFront Shock Absorber
