Engine Removal eFor later installation convenience, note and record how and where cables, wiring, and hoses are routedThey should not be bent sharply kinked, or twistedeDrain the engine oil (see Engine Oil and Oil Filter Change in the Engine Lubrication System chapter)eDrain the coolant (see Coolant Changing in the Cooling System)To avoid burns, wait until the engine cools downeRe move the following partsRear Fender and Front Fender (see Frame chapter) Engine Guard Muffler and Exhaust Pipe (see Engine Top End chapter) Lefthand Footpeg Air Cleaner Housing and Snorkel Duct (see Fuel System chapter) Oil Breather Pipe Choke Cable Lower End (see Fuel System chapter) Throttle Cable Lower End (see Fuel System chapter) Clutch Cable Lower End (see Clutch chapter) Reverse Cable Lower End Parking Brake Cable and Knob (see Brakes chapter) Carburetor (see Fuel System chapter) Radiator Hose Ends at Radiator eDisconnect the wires from the engine components, and free them from the clampsMagneto Stator Connector Pickup Coil Connector Spark Plug Cap
