-While holding the rod in position with the screwdriver, install the tensioner on the cylinder block-While pushing the tensioner against the cylinder block as shown, remove the screwdriver
-Remove the rear fender and the front fender (see Frame chapter)-Remove the air cleaner housing (see Air Cleaner Housing Removal in Fuel System chapter)-Loosen the cap bolt before tensioner removal for later installation convenience-Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the camshaft chain tensioner
