oGasoline is extremely flammable and can be explosive under certain conditionsTurn the ignition switch OFFDo not smokeMake sure the area is well ventilated and free from any source of flame or sparks; this includes any appliance with pilot light
eBefore disassembling the carburetor, check .the fuel level (see Fuel Level Inspection)If the fuel level is incorrect, inspect the rest of the carburetor before correcting iteRemove the carburetor (see Carburetor Removal)eTurn the throttle cable pulley to check that the throttle butterfly valve moves smoothly and returns back with the spring tensionIf the throttle valve does not move smoothly, replace the carburetor
