Carburetor Pilot Screw Adjustment
eRemove the carburetor (see Carburetor Removal)eTurn the carburetor pilot screw all the way in until it seats lightly
Fuel Level Inspection

not overtighten the pilot screw or the carburetor body will be damaged and require replacement
APilot Screw

1Fuel Level Gauge: 57001-1017 2Overflow Tube 3Carburetor Body Bottom Edge 4Zero Line 5Fuel Level eHold the gauge vertically against the side of the carburetor body so that the zeroline is several millimeters higher than the bottom edge of the carburetor bodyeTurn the fuel tap to the ON position to feed fuel to the carburetor and gauge, then turn out the carburetor drain plug few turnseWait until the fuel level in the gauge settleseKeeping the gauge vertical, slowly lower the gauge until the ii zeroline is even with the bottom edge of the carburetor bodyii

eBack the pilot screw out the specified number of turns
