Choke Lever and Cable
Choke Cable Free Play Inspection -Check that the choke lever returns properly and that the inner cable slides smoothlyIf there is any irregularity, check the choke cable as follows-Push the choke lever back all the way to its released position-Slide the dust covers off the adjuster of the choke cable-Determine the amount of choke cable play at the adjusting nut of the choke cablePullout and pU?h in the cable housing; the amount of cable housing travel is the amount of cable free playChoke Cable Free Play

Choke Lever and Cable Removal -Remove the carburetor (see Carburetor Removal)-Unscrew the starter plunger cap and pullout the starter plunger
AStarter Plunger Cap -Hold the starter plunger spring compressed, and free the choke cable lower end from the plunger
